kik (the android app) not working, anyone got any workarounds? [answered]

As the header says, I downloaded the kik messaging app for android from Play Store (and then I tried an older version from freewarelovers.com), and I can't register or log in (both say "took longer than expected" and time out).

So does anyone have any workarounds?

Google Play is not officially supported, and my guess is that is uses some unsupported google API. So this forum cannot provide you workarounds.

Yeah, but you can find the software in amazon store as well. Or online as I mentioned (so it shouldn't be Google Play-reliant)

I'm also having problems with this, and i installed a fresh version from the amazon store. I get the same "took longer than expected.
