August is a lazy month so lets make a poll of some sort.
You get to have one native app that you will pay 10 euros (or the equivalent in your local currency) for. What is it.
Rules:

Must be something not having to do with the core os.

A native Offline Navigation App
Yes! A thousand times YES!!! I would happily pay €100 without batting an eye.

Would be great to get some open source app for that. That is an indicator for devs as well, so its good to suggest solutions as well, not just that you would pay for an app.
@vattuvarg: I never used maps.me and don't know much about it. It seems to be Qt app, or at least Qt in some part. Do you know whether its written in Qt or Qt/QML? Porting would be easier from QML, I think.
There is also development in Ubuntu Touch navigation software. Never used it myself, but uNav is supposed to support offline navigation as well.

I would pay 10 quid for android support/alien dalvik on any device able to run SailfishOS and I think thats the way to go for making sailfish do the round and capture the market.
Right, I would pay 100 (or even 200...) euros for having the possibility to run (from time to time) an Android app on the Fairphone 2 with Sailfish.

Federico ( 2016-08-27 12:26:15 +0300 )while writing native apps is a priority, a general solution allowing us to use android apps is needed for ported devices. there is work on sfdroid which should provide it, but its not complete yet. would be good to get current view from Jolla on future Android support in Sailfish. maybe this request should be posted separately as a new thread? Then we can voice our opinions under it better.

Those companies often don't bother to create a WP app, so no way they will do one for SFOS, and since their API are proprietary, we are not supposed to build an app ourselves (and even if it's possible, we don't have time to build and maintain a pseudo SFOS copy of all these apps).
It's hard to say, but Android support will always be needed.

A native WhatsApp-client with its own address book (and no access to the systemwide address book) - pretty much what Mitakuuluu was.
Because I have absolutely no intention of giving WhatsApp/Facebook access to all my contacts and their data. Names and (mobile) numbers of those that are already registered at WhatsApp - ok. Anything else - no way. That's the reason why I stopped using WhatsApp on my Jolla after Mitakuuluu stopped working. Until the day that isolating my contacts data from WhatsApp is possible, I'll use WhatsApp only with Pidgin on my desktops (until they block that one, of course - long live closed source software with proprietary protocols - not).

But I feel exactly the same way and an using WA together with OpenContacts from F-droid.
Not perfect, but okay. Using OpenContacts to find people in its own address book and switch to WA. Using WA directly you need to know the number or profile picture.

Threads would be cool, but honestly I would be more than happy if they finally could fix the IMAP folder problem... :-/

KOffice or Calligra office suite is already being used by Documents app. To get the editing capabilities, we must wait till Qt 5.6 is released in Jolla.

I'd even pay much more for a native and stable SIP/VoIP-App (or a patch for Jollas voicecall-ui to enable it to place outgoing VoIP-calls- incoming VoIP calls already work with voicecall-ui)

Progressive web apps will strengthen Sailfish OS as more and more companies will start to provide browser-based applications instead of native. This may sound like utopia to you now, but the process has already started. So it seems that an awesome (native!) browser will be the most important app for the future of Sailfish OS. Jolla should give an alternative method (i.e connmanctl) to be used e.g. with Situations app in addition to totally block connmanctl in e.g. Situations for wifi, bt and flight mode. Thus we as users could choose with our own risks. Let me say, this should be worth 10 euros or a pint of beer.
