I was just wondering if anyone out there is still using a Sailfish version before 2. And if so what problems are they facing?

i'm still using it. its ux is unique and just perfect, i have patchmanager installed for quick actions on eventsview. the only thing is that i have several reboots with random time intervals between it, sometimes 5 times a week and st just once in two or more weeks. since usinf ok board writing massages is more easy. the only andriod sw i use is a card game.
i like its feeling and usability, its just better
hey, anything that could play nearly all video files? like the MXPlayer. I used LLS, it can't play MKV's probably (at least not on my AquaFish).

I still use Sailfish 1. The only issue I have is that it becomes sluggish around 7 days of uptime. Also I have to rebalance BTRFS manually from time to time. Otoh I can live with that as I love the UI with swipe cover actions, events view easily reachable from everywhere and the home/lock-screen connection with the larger clock and lock-screen pulley available without having to lock the phone first.
And I still have to live with https://together.jolla.com/question/9112/swiping-is-too-sensitive-about-direction/ It's actually quite annoying, if you have it, and was a software issue, since when I used SfOS v2 on the same phone I never had this problem.

If you don't use that you have to minimize the current app and pull to the side to reach the events view in SfOS2. But the big difference is that in SfOS1 you can swipe up to the events view, scroll through it and then minimize it to get back to the app you had active before. There's no simple way to get back to the active app in SfOS2.

I've started using Sailfish OS with 2.0.2.48. Some years ago, I had a quick look into Sailfish OS 1.x on my old Galaxy Nexus, I think it was it but I'm not sure :D, but I quickly changed back to Android. Don't know why. Now, I have the J1 for more than 1 month and I don't want to miss it anymore. It's just perfect for me (for now, till next SailfishOS flagship) :)

Please don't use outdated versions of any operating systems, unless you like getting your device hacked and all your data stolen.
This is my worry, along with missing some useful os improvements. Basically I think it would be good for them to offer an option in the UI use the V1 gui or the V2 gui.

I do, and I don't see problems that would convince me to go for 2.0. I'm not saying there are no issue either. What are your worries?

@J4ZZ I already use several patches. What patch do you use to get the swipe to lock functionality back?
