Pelligo its the first thing i tried and unfortunately doesnt work at all.
What works is using an intermediary like a daemon or inbetween, which synchronizes your calendars. Try Fruux, it allows synchronization from contacts and calendars iCloud to the Fruux cloud and from the Fruux cloud using caldav and cardav to Jolla Sailfish phone.
just FYI the Google version does synch fine but then who wants to use Google.

For caldav it works the following way:
For CardDav i used https://pNN-CardDav.icloud.com:443 amd while it allows account setup the address.changes dont appear to synchronize for me.

There is an answer on google. Problem is that there is something jiffy in the Jolla CalDAV/Carddav support so it wont play nicely anyways. http://computing.physics.harvard.edu/icloud
i´ve followed that link (first on google btw) and it connects to my calendars, shows them, but just give me one entry into the calendar app itself. And that is the bug.
