Cancel home and event screen carousel switch often fails

When pulling on home or event screen, to get to the other, and I regret and change back in the same the pull the screen switches anyway most of the times. I have to end the pull at almost the same point to stop it from switching. If for example I do a pull to the left on the home screen and then change my mind and go back (move to the right) I get a "bouncing" animation. The screen follows my thumb to the right, but when I let go of the screen it bounces back to the left to the events screen.
