I am currently running sailfish version 2.0.2.48. When ever I check for new updates it shows I am running the latest version.

But the current release is 2.0.2.51. How can I update to that version? Also how can I get early release versions?

Please help.

Weird, it should indeed show you the update...

How to update manually:

Enable developer mode and set SSH password

open Terminal and type:

devel-su

Enter password you just set (isn't visible when you type, just get it right and press enter)

ssu re 2.0.2.51

and after it

version --dup

Wait for a bit and when it finishes, reboot.

In general and a more user approach, reset the Jolla Account on the device in question, go offline, let it settle to offline, go online, should trigger available upgrades. The not so user approach is going offline, killing the store-client on CLI and going online, then open store, wait couple of minutes, might trigger the upgrade too (if the account reset did not help). In general, upgrading via CLI is not considered safe, be aware that openrepos might challenge your upgrade and render your device a brick, you may keep the pieces.

The next update is in Early Access - stage; it will be made available to the general public in the coming weeks (provided there are no problems). Note : I do not work for Jolla.

You can sign up to Early Access to get updates earlier, there are instructions somewhere here iirc.

OP isn't talking about EA + EA is only for Jolla devices.

That is correct, only stable releases are made available for partner devices, confirmed by our community manager. (of course one can always update via command line but..)
