[BUG] whatsapp loudspeaker/earspeaker switch

On jolla 1 release 2.0.2.51 the whatsapp audio message have a strange behaviour one time are played through the loundspeaker one time through earspeaker switch after each playback.

When the playback through the earspeaker some time the app look freezing, I guess if the wrong switch is caused from the proximity sensor that tell to Alien Dalvik that the user is using earspeaker when isn't true

I am experiencing the same on my Jolla Phone and it is really annoying.

Happens in AquaFish too. Couldn't find a way to fix it yet.

I can confirm the problem is the proximity, simple test :

  • audio message playback with proximity not covered
  • if the playback start from earspeaker and put a finger over the proximity the app stop the playback
  • remove the finger over the proximity and restart the playback the audio switch to loudspeaker

I confirm this problem. It occurred since about last 10 updates.. AFAIK since the new UI, with new Emojis.

IMHO it's a driver/WhatsApp problem..
