A aluminium other half would be super I think, and would give an extra high end feeling to the jolla

Aluminium would be really nice. Alternatively even more unique special addition would also include for example a small layer of genuine leaf gold for luxury or real carbon fiber for sporty tastes. Perhaps it would be a little too fancy though and not affortable for everyone.

If the antenna system has not been designed for metal casing, chances are poor that such casing does not reduce signal quality to heavily. (And even if it has been designed for metal casing, it will reduce signal transmission quality, question is only, how much.)

so, tride out my toh with som tin foil wrapped around it... wifi was okay.. gsm reception almost died
