Has anyone successfully installed Cyanogenmod on the jolla phone?

I tried to search for it but basically I haven't found anybody writing that he managed this and the system is usable. If yes, how? Does one have to modify some code/config to get things working? I can imagine there is a problem due to missing home and back buttons...

I'm aware of the older question https://together.jolla.com/question/32222/android-rom-on-jolla/, but nobody has REALLY answered this. Please don't just answer with "oh Sailfish is so great why would you want anything else", that is not the question.

I don't know anyone who really tried to do this for a 3 years or so. And buttons is not a problem because you can always use screen buttons on android.

The question is, why would you want to install Cyanogenmod on a phone existing in maybe 20,000 units in the world, when there are billions of devices, most of them costing a fraction of the Jolla, that support this without any issue?

well- i'd guess as jolla is selling the image of a free/os phone that could be the why. although i dont need cm on my jolla it, and every other free os should be easily usable with jolla.

@kaktux, Jolla is not selling and never sold an "open" phone you can just put any operating system you want on. They sold phones with Sailfish on it, nothing more, nothing less.

I want to install CyanogenMod because my btrfs partition got damaged and with it the factory image, thus I cannot even do a factory reset without sending it to Jolla, and I don't have a warranty anymore. They don't provide the factory image due to licencing issues. As far as their whole marketing about how "open" it is, I'm fairly disappointed, because now I have a brick. It happened after I simply tried to upgrade, I didn't do anything special with it. I don't want to send it to Jolla because their repair might cost me more than an old android phone.
