I updated the version from 2.0.4.16 to 2.0.5.6 by setting the release followed by a version --dup. Wifi isn't working as of now. I'm using Jolla JP 1301. I can't turn on wifi and the WLAN page in the settings shows the message "Networking is not available. Please restart device."

Update: The phone app is not working at all. I need this phone to work as I've a goddamn transfer today. I can't even see that damn missed call once I clicked in the notifications.

P.s. I've tried to restart the connman and to move the settings but nothing works. Please help. Also, resetting the device is not an option for me.

Please provide more information:

  • Which device are you using
  • What steps exactly have you performed to update the device?
  • Were there any errors during the update?
  • What exactly do you mean with "Wifi is not working"?
  • Did you try to delete the Wifi settings on your phone and reconfigure them?
  • Did you try if the problem exists with other Wifis as well?

I don't remember the exact steps. I did an ssu re to 2.0.5.6 which didn't work even after the version --dup and the pkcon refresh. I did the same for setting 2.0.4.13 and then repeated it for 2.0.5.6. This resumed the download.

Thanks for the reply, the device shows 2.0.4.13 as the update available from 2 months ago. Also I can't connect to internet at all.

my phone is in a way better shape than yours. But it's possible that similar package/installer issues affected both upgrades with sequels on different applications.

no ssu re required in my case .

That must be true. I don't understand what's happening. The btrfs balancer did no help. The phone app and wifi are completely dysfunctional.
