I received my "poppy red" (well, kind of) Other Half today and just cannot get enough of the ringtone. (I actually called myself a few times before I realized I could just copy it and play it on my computer. LOL)

Is there some background info about it? Like where did the spoken sound snippets come from (recorded for the ringtone or just taken out of other material)?, who says what, whose music is it etc etc?

I assume I'll really enjoy receiving phone calls. And, frankly, I hate talking to people. LOL

I don't know about the origin of the other parts, but the "Do it together!" chants were recorded from a crowd of hardworking sailors in the Helsinki office. :) Ah, that brings back memories.

@pycage: Aaaahhh... "Do it together"! I thought it was Finnish. :) Some parts are just difficult to understand.

Hi there,

so a bit of background... you remember when I wrote in this post

We had a bugfixing week in Helsinki with people from all over the world (from Australia to Europe to US) and only in that week we managed to fix more than 700 bugs. Sailors worked an average of 14 hours a day and quadruplicated the velocity.

Fixing bugs was not the only thing we have done there :)

We did not have any special ringtone for the special guys that pre-ordered our smartphone and our design team came out with the idea of having a ringtone made up of all the voices of the sailors so we called a professional to come and record our voices, laughs, sentences and whatnot at the most intense moment of our journey. Just to make it a bit more fun.

It's our personal note to you, a company made of real people, also in the ringtone :D

It was recorded in Helsinki, in October by all the sailors and probably one of the laughs that you hear there might be even mine ;)

Is there any possibility for the ones who did not make it to order the Poppy Red OH to get this ringtone? I am so angry with myself that I could not be able to place the 100e preorder :-(

@lupastro I bet you can find it on Internet already.

In my opinion it's was not worth 100 euro pre-order support (really? Only ringtone?), especially as they did not send it to everyone with phone and people just getting it now ("i'm the first " label on back is irony)
