[Bug]Can't add openvpn via ovpn file in 2.1.1.24 [released]
Settings dialog crashes when selecting openvpn file (.ovpn) from vpn configuration.
Steps to reproduce:
- Download openvpn files e.g. from PureVPN ( https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/heartbleed/linux/linux-files.zip )
- Extract zip in Home folder
- Create new vpn connection and select one of the ovpn files
Expected behaviour:
Enter Username and Password as next step.
What happens?
Settings dialog crashes.
edit: when i have some spare time i will run this via terminal and look if there are any debug hints on the crash...
edit2: tried manual setup with ovpn files from purevpn. no sucess. keeps 'connecting...' forever. no error. no timeout. (yes i adjusted file paths for keyfiles in ovpn file to absolute paths)
edit3: Did not work in 2.1.0.9 and still not working in 2.1.1.24
edit4: Fixed in 2.1.1.26
I experience the same behaviour using my own .ovpn file. Seems fine with "SecureFishNet" app.

Claudio Maradonna ( 2017-02-22 20:06:29 +0200 )editSame here. Accepted solution from cy8aer works partially, here: https://together.jolla.com/question/157386/how-can-i-set-up-openvpn-with-new-210-ui/
Unfortunately, even after configuring in advanced mode, it does not cope with key files which are protected by a passphrase. Instead, it asks for a username and a password, which is not needed at all. So the feature is not ready for my setup at this moment -- that is OK, for a functionality marked as beta.
Maus ( 2017-03-20 16:20:56 +0200 )editi have tried manual setup with above linked purevpn ovpn files (adjusted key file path) but could not get it working. it just keeps 'connecting...' forever. no error no timeout
