WLAN/Wi-fi connection becomes very slow

Hi all. I recently got my Intex Aqua Fish. Sailfish OS works pretty ok for my needs but trying to get pictures and videos off my 128 GB sdcard requires SSHing. Now I have a FritzBox and do an scp from the Aqua Fish to my Mac. The data rate starts at something like 3-4 MB/s... not too much. Then I moved the phone directly next to the router - data rate went up to as much as 6-7 MB/s. After a short while the data rate degrades to 300-400 kB/s. Just retesting by copying an 8GB file back to the Aqua Fish.

Other devices on the same network claim speeds up to 450 Mb/s. For the Aqua Fish I would hope for something like 150 Mb/s, so around 20 MB/s - maybe divide by 2 and take 20% off... so that would be the 6-7 MB/s max I got at some point?

At times even connecting via the terminal and typing commands gets very slow like this. Anyone else having this problem?

Looking at dmesg I saw some messages that seem connected. But recently during my copy test there are none. If someone has an idea, please let me know which kind of log information is helpful.

Thank you.

Could the sd card or its port be the bottleneck? To me it looks like using a slow flash drive on a pc, first it's very fast until the buffer cache is filled, then the data rate drops down since the data is actually written to the flash memory. Or it could be the cipher algorithm used by ssh/scp, did you check the cpu load during such a transfer?
