Since there is no video about porting the OS , can someone make a few videos about it ? It would help in reference . Where as in android we do have many but one or two would be great . ( One+1 or Nexus 5 , these are the well known devices or any other )

What would be the point?

Video guides make sense in stuff like how-to-open-a-device-replace-a-part-by-soldering-and-close-it-properly but there is no way it is helpful in stuff like porting/installing an OS because the stuff you do is in command line; it is lot easier to have the needed procedures documented by text where you can cut&paste.

That's it. Porting will require compling, configuring, testing and likely even programming. Is is not installing an Android-ROM.

The video doesn't have to be for the babies. Yes, a person should know the processing of porting but the video has to be the summary through of the process, fix for the common encountering errors and perhaps some tips ( It doesn't have to be official ) .

@Pavel Soldar I still do not see the need for such a guide... What would be those "common encountered errors" and how would a video guide help someone to avoid those???

I still think a text-based document or wiki page is the best medium here, since in my opinion it is absolutely pointless to make a video of a screen capture of somebody typing commands at a terminal :)

I assume you have read the HADK and know what it is about?

@juiceme You are right. I thought it would help somehow since there are none.
