Firefox for Android 56 does not run [answered]

Jolla C 2.1.2.3 Not used Android emulation up to now. Downloaded Firefox from https://download.mozilla.org/?product=fennec-latest&os=android&lang=en-GB where I usually get it from for AOSP.

Downloads fennec-56.0.en-GB.android-arm.apk and appears to install OK from File Browser, but wil not run. Tried reboot, reinstall.

To check Alien I installed Here maps which runs OK. IIUC Alien is Android 4.4.4. which is OK for Fx.

What might be wrong? Are there logs which might give a clue?

Try the US version ; the DE version does not run, too

Thanks. Substituting en-US makes it work.

Any idea why? I see from the linked question that the DE version used to work.

Version 55 misses all localized versions, in 56 they came back but maybe faulty.
No, DE version does not work.
