Hello,

I'm not an expert in mobile phones and don't know that "unlocked phone" means.

I bought what we said in Spain "Libre Phone" that means you can use whatever phone line company. Is that the same?

Could I flash the cellphone to install Sailfish X ?

Than you sailors.

I'm not expert on these, but afaik it means phone where you have unlocked the bootloader so you can flash other OS' to the phone. If the phone isn't tied to any operator, you should be able to unlock the bootloader and install SFOS.

On your Xperia X open dialer pad and enter *#*#7378423#*#*

Go to service info > configuration > rooting status. There´s a line "bootloader unlock allowed". If it says yes, you are able to unlock your bootloader.

To unlock your bootloader start here https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/

Also, keep in mind that you'll loose your DRM keys (which unlock Sony's proprietary features like quality enhancements for the camera) when you unlock the bootloader. If desired, you can create a backup of the "TA" partition which contains these keys to restore them later, e.g. when you want to return to Android or want to sell the phone. See https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/universal-dirtycow-based-ta-backup-t3514236 for more information.

That mean you didn't buy your phone from a carrier or any phone operator.

That's specially important if you're getting an used phone, It might be now "unlocked" for use with different operators but its software is still locked, therefore you won't be able to install sailfish X.

On the setting it must have the oem option, check the vid from jolla : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSAYeoKNJsI
