OS update, phone locked

Hello everyone Today i made the latest update, and afterwards, instead of entering the PIN code the phone is locked. I know i set up a lock code, forgot it, which was stupid because I couldn't use developermode and commandline anymore but for just using the phone it was not really important. With the latest update this code is asked right after boot up, which practically bricks the phone for me. Can I do anything to make the phone working again? I made back-ups but I guess I need the lock code for this as well. Haven't tried it tough, wanted to ask first and/or if there is another/better solution?

What is new is that the new update stops me from even using the phone, I could do that before the update. So the question is can I go back to an older version without this lockcode or is there anything else to get back to the old version without the security code? Since I have nothing to lose I can try it anyway but I just wanted to ask first. I also would appreciate if someone could tell me what sending in will cost me. I'm not sure how much I want to spend on an older phone, which works fine but also has been dropped severel times.
