  1. Install the QtCreator Application SDK from here: https://sailfishos.org/wiki/Application_SDK
  2. Open QtCreator (SDK)
  3. Select 'New Project' -> 'Other Project'
  4. Select 'Sailfish OS Ambience' -> 'Choose...'
  5. Select the location for your project on your PC, a name, ... in the wizard.
  6. When completed, your Sailfish OS Ambience project will be opened in QtCreator.
  7. Change the background image, sounds, ... to what you like.
  8. Deploy as RPM & Run (Play button)

Since SDK 1707/ SDK 1709 and the according Sailfish OS releases 2.1.1.x/ 2.1.2.x there is a template for the Ambience package creation in File > New File or Project > Other Project > Sailfish OS Ambience.
