I recently noticed that almost all Jolla devices are using the same USB IDs, which is a bit pointless.

While the Jolla 1 used its own vendor ID (2931, "Jolla Oy), the Intex Aqua Fish, the Jolla C (In my case an Aqua Fish with Jolla C Software) and the Xperia X use the Vendor ID 05c6 (Qualcomm, Inc.), and they don't use separate device IDs for different devices:

05c6:0afe: Charging
05c6:0a07: MTP Mode
05c6:0a02: Developer Mode
05c6:05c6: Diagnostic (Jolla C and Aqua Fish only)

Why don't you use your own Vendor ID and unique device IDs for the different devices? Is there a specific reason for this? To be fair, at least iManufacturer and iProduct are correct on the different devices, and for example KDE is using this information.

@Cmdr_Zod: Thanks for bringing this up. I do not know for sure how these usb id numbers ought to be handled, but I filed internal ticket to clarify the situation.
