Hello,

Today (Mar 12th) the 1801 SDK release has been made available to all users.

If you have an older beta release of the SDK, you should see an update notification in the Sailfish OS IDE. View more information in the SDK wiki page and also check out the known issues page.

Happy hacking!

Hi.

I'm struggling to install the SDK. After the folder selections the GTK window freezes and nothing happens!.

I'm using Ubuntu Linux 16.04 LTS on an x64 system.

EDIT: Seems something is wrong with the graphicals and GTK. The window refreshed when I touched (WITHOUT DRAGGING THE MOUSE!) the upper right corner of the installer window, and now it is progressing....

Regards.

@Pasko Hi, this is most likely the known issue which can be worked around by exporting LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 https://sailfishos.org/wiki/Application_SDK_Known_Issues . Proper fix is on the roadmap.

Reluctantly, I updated SDK and once again, if I am connected to the internet, SDK doesn't appear on desktop. As soon as I disconnect from the net, POP!, up shows SDK. However, if I am patient, I don't need to disconnect from the net, I can give it around 4 minutes and then SDK opens on desktop, but I'd sooner it opened right away, well, within 5 or 6 seconds at least.

@Edz Tried with antivirus off?

Yes @martyone. I just don't get a smooth run where SDK is concerned, One problem fixed, another one occurs; I've spent more time getting it to work than I have using it for any development, most of which I do on my phone anyway :)
