When I am in native browser on SailfishX, I miss the info about current time. The browser goes full screen automatically hiding everything else. It would be very handy, if there can be a small strip on top of the screen showing instantly current time and may be also signal and battery status. Like it is on home screen of SailfishX. Thank you very much!

Isn't that the normal behavior of every app, be it native or Android?

You can just peek, i.e. swipe in over the edge without releasing your finger and then swipe back out over the edge. Extremely handy.

True, you are right, I am just doing that, but more nice would be to have time in front of eyes instantly. Btw. the XperiaX has so tall display, that such a strip would be no loss of space. Thank you.

Alternative solution could be autohiding strip on top showing time, baterry status and signal. Thank you.

Yes, I remember. This was the feature of my old Windows Phone 7.5. There was an auto hiding strip in the browser showing time. I get used to it. Thank you.

"it is quite typical on other mobile OS, that user has always info about time, signal strenght ang batery"

Sailfish is meant to be "unlike", not a "typical" Android clone. Android has a ton of stupid UI decisions, and just because you are used to them doesn't mean they are good. Sailfish traces its heritage to the swipe-based Meego, and a swipe-based system is inherently smoother, faster, easier and more intuitive than the stilted Android approach. Of course, coming from another OS it might take some getting used to, but just run the included tutorial and you should be fine.

As for having a line at the top taking up real estate and generally Androidifying things, I am adamantly against it to the point of downvoting the thread. Just move your thumb slightly in over the edge and you will see the time. You have already been given that answer, and you have stated that's what you do. Thusly, since I am quite certain the Sailfish developers are not considering adding a static line on top of every app window, I'm closing this now in the hope that it will be quickly forgotten.

Dear bocephus, sorry, but you answer is wrong in many ways. 1) I was no speaking of android cloning of anything. I have never used android. I used for many years Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone. Btw. If you waiting on the bus or train, it is very handy to have time always in front of your eyes. 2) Have you read the principles of Together.Jolla? "We want our products and services to free you to express yourself as you see fit, not lock you down to a view of the world imposed on you by us." That is clear statement. 3) Why you have closed this issue so early, instead let users vote themselves? 4) You answer is both manipulating and offensive. 5) You are speaking on behalf of Jolla developers? Who gave you this right?
