I have just installed Sailfish on my Xperia X device.
I have installed HERE WeGo navigation.
It opens and works but without any voice navigation.
Is there any way of getting voice navigation?
Do I need to install something else?

TBH I think I didn't understand that the voice navigation only works when routing by car. I was thinking it provided voice navigation when traveling on foot.
AFAIR it voice navigation did work in ealier versions. Especially on the bicycle I usually don't have a hand free to keep HERE visible, hence I miss this feature a lot. Maybe this is the tribute we have to pay that it is owned by car manufactures.

I use version 2.0.11709 succesfully on Sailfish X. Two problems I have: GPS starts significantly slower than on Android (sometimes up to 5 minutes) and I cannot set the app to use micro-SD card for map storage.
I'm not sure, but I think I recognized GPS starts much faster while moving.

no you dont't. should work as is.
maybe you have just a bad version... some versions of here would not show the location at all. try an older version

aspergerguy ( 2018-04-21 16:15:32 +0300 )You have to install at least one voice / language inside the Here app (Here uses its own tts engine instead of e.g. Google tts). Recent Here versions don't have the positioning bug anymore.
