Hi, Jolla! Would you like to send any official letter to Roskomnadzor in Russia to explain why they blocked many of your ip addresses?

You can use this site to check current situation: https://isitblockedinrussia.com

Currently affected domains are:

Jolla Sites:

jolla.com

blog.jolla.com

harbour.jolla.com

together.jolla.com

shop.jolla.com

Device and SDK updates repositories:

cbeta.jolla.com

releases.jolla.com

store-repository.jolla.com

EDIT 19.05.18:

Russia unblocked some subnets / or (and) Jolla changed ip addresses, so currently following donains are not affected:

jolla.com

shop.jolla.com

harbour.jolla.com

together.jolla.com

Remaining domains are still (at least partially, one domain can use multiple ip addresses in different regions) are blocked

Have you experienced the same for Jolla (official) repositories, which are hosted on AWS ?

Good question! At least main jolla repo is not banned: https://isitblockedinrussia.com/?host=dvvwui2qyedk6.cloudfront.net , will check all other repos later today and report back.

@vapour well, no, it's date when such law was forced allowing blocking ip addresses without notice

releases.jolla.com affected by block as well

Is this blocking based upon IP address or upon URL?

This blocking was coused by Russian governemnt trying to block Telegram messenger. As decided by the Russian court last week. Roskomnadzor blocked 16 mio IP Adresses to stop Telegram. Well that went a bit wrong... :-) A lot of services, onlineshops and so on al over the country stopped working, because 13 mio of these IP adresses were US-adresses like Google, Amazon, etc. That's why those Jolla adresses were blocked tomporarely. A lot of funny sounding news were publicated today... :-)

All of the above sites open correctly right now in St. Petersburg. Looks like it was a temporary glitch.

haha, but no, this is not a "temporary glitch". say thanks to your isp not being so fast to update "Revizor" block lists.

It's completely random. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I guess Amazon constantly balancing their load by changing IPs... or I dunno.

It may not work in the moment just for your provider. Anyhow, there's no point in announcing that as a global outage if it works for the rest.

"global outage"... This is about Russian blacklists.
