I have Sony a6300 and that uses PlayMemories Mobile to send pictures to a mobile. I have tried to make connection between Sony cam and Xperia (Sailfish OS) but in Xperia codereader or Sailfish camera can't scan QR-code and no connetion. Once I think I succeeded but it didin't make any connection between devices. Any idea how to transmitt by wireless?

Wifi-enabled cameras of other manufacturers use standard protocols such as uPnP / DLNA. For that protocols there are apps available, at least Android-based ones such as "Dlna Camera Sync" which works with my Panasonic Lumix GM5.

Looking at Sony's heritage regarding the adoption of standards, I doubt this will help in your case.

This (the easy copy of files from /to other devices) in my opinion is the biggest entrance barrier for common users to SFOS.

You may be right with the term entrance barrier. But once you learned how easy the file transfer via SSH protocol is, there's no way going back to USB cables, MTP drivers, or iTunes!

@ziellos did you notice the "common users" part in my message? That's the target audience, not nerds / technical people which are a aware of what ssh is. This misconception that a phone should be a pc / mac / computer / put_your_ssh_ed_weaponized_computer_name_here is a delusion. A phone is supposed to be simple, not complex. Simple as in two button presses. You want SFOS to strive and grow? Your vision of the world either assumes everyone knows ssh (and hence everyone is a nerd), or everyone is ready to learn it. Not gonna happen :( /disillusion_off

@tortoisedoc I agree. Using SSH protocol isn't the way forward to expanding the market for Sailfish. Sailfish needs a bigger audience that just those that can use SSH etc.

This is currently not possible as the Android App in Alien Dalvik has no way to change the wireless network (alien dalvik simply does not expose the devices but only routes network access from the SailfishOS host)
Easiest way to exchange files would be having a SD Card reader that you can attach to microUSB port of the Xperia X.
