[BUG] Situations network changes not applied after 2.2.0.29 [duplicate]

Before installing 2.2.0.29, I have been able to successfully set up Situations to control when my phone network is enabled, wifi/bluetooth is enabled/disabled, flight mode on/off etc...

This no longer works after the 2.2.0.29 update. Situations continue to work for audio configuratuons (ringtone, vibration etc...) and display configuration. It only seems to be an issie with the networking features.

@jimjamz

Surely you should be contacting the author of the app?, sounds to me like the app needs updating and is not a Jolla problem.

You presume that the author has not been contacted. Although the author of the app is to be contacted regarding the matter, it is more productive to raise the issue here also, so that others who use the app can also collectively raise their findings and symptoms. Through this, it may be easier and faster to find the solution to the problem i.e. what has changed in Sailfish that has indeed broken the feature of the app (because it _is_ the changes of Sailfish, not the app, that has caused this problem). This way, it's possible that a sailor who is experiencing similar issues with the same app, may have more useful advice on identifying the problem in Sailfish (for Jolla's benefit) and how to resolve the issue. This information can then be passed onto the developer in order to aid a speedier turnaround time on bug-fixing. At the very least, and in the meantime, other sailors using the same app on our common platform may be able to suggest temporary workarounds to alleviate the problems being experienced.

Fair enough, I'll call duplicate instead; https://together.jolla.com/question/172269/xperia-x-situations-app/

If only as much enthusiasm was put into assisting someone to find a solution to the issue at hand, as it is shooting questions down or duplicate-hunting.

@jimjamz, if only you put the effort into learning to code, then you could be that 'someone' you speak of and start coming up with solutions instead of attempting sarcasm. Oh and more to the point, if you don't like my response, then reopen your question, after all, we all run this forum, or have you not bothered reading the site FAQ's? Duplicate hunting?, lol, what an imagination you have!, I've been on this forum for about 5 years, some subjects are more familiar than others and so, yeah, if I find a duplicate, I'll call it but as I've already said, reopen if you like, I certainly will not come back in behind you and close it again! : /

I'll go one further seeing as I've just thought about it. How much effort have you put in to find the facts behind the app not getting fixed/updated?, well, I'll tell you as you'd rather come here and moan instead of doing research before gobbing off. The author of the app cannot fix certain aspects of the app due to changes in the Sailfish API. Had you bothered to check out the comments section on the app in Jolla Store, you would have seen the authors remarks, instead you choose to waste my time and your own, by bitching about something you clearly are not trying to solve yourself - what's that saying now?, oh yeah, you can't help those who won't help themselves. At the very least, read all the comments on the app in Jolla Store......also, unless you are using a different user name when in Jolla Store, I don't see a single comment or question from you...?, perhaps I presume correctly without even realising I was doing so.

So, you want to brand me as being unhelpful?, that's nice, But, I've contributed this forum on a regular basis, in fact I helped another user just a day or so ago with his request; https://together.jolla.com/question/186754/change-pixel-density-in-sailfish-os-21x/ - I knew little about the subject, but it interested me, Situations does not interest me, sorry about that.
