Custom option to show internet speed on the status bar. Either or both downlink and uplink speeds can be displayed. I think It's an necessary option for day to day usage .
Note: It can be custom option with enable/disable feature & there's still room in status bar i guess.

The connection speed does not really tell the truth. It is only a number which is the absolut maxinum, but would not be reached most of the time in real. So what is the benefit showing it?

In developing countries lile India, brazil etc internet speeds are variably unstable for every 5km . We often look up the speeds to find best ISP, OEM & Usually to find a place that gives max speed so that we go there to download files like the 2000s ๐

If it was around 33.6kbps we knew it would not be fast enough to even successfully send/receive email, but if you got 42kbps or more, then even a cheeky download from Napster was doable.
