How can we help Jolla (financially) and otherwise?

I've been using Sailfish for the past few weeks, and the product is SOLID. I am in love. A phone OS I can trust, without sacrificing the day-to-day "push a button" features missing. I am in absolute love. I am not going to gush here (for the sake of brevity) but: UI is simple, fast, and aesthetically pleasing but underneath I get power-user configurability, and a real shell.

I saw the threads about contributions, but is there something else I can do to help?

I dont have a MASSIVE following on social media (about 13k people or so) and I have spammed them a bunch about it, but is there more I can do to help?

I am doing my own tech startup so time is sparse...and if I had more time I would DEFINITELY be contributing code. This would be at the top of my passion projects.

So what is left? How can we either contribute money (or if that isn't enough to make a difference) help out in some other way? Can we buy multiple copies of the OS? Tell me what we can do?

take it damnit

Donate a developer to develop much needed apps for sailfish. Present apps are missing many features, bugs ... Especially the camera app it needs lots of improvement's, focus, features. so probably you can sponsor such ones

Rise a thread and ask your polls, questions, find the devs. There are very good developers . Coderus, shuttermam and lots of good ones

I'd say helping developers is a very good (and straightforward) start!

Alot of people have apps out there (including me), which are being mantained for free (and soon after become abandonware as the effort becomes too consuming). Jolla as a company is (according to latest communication) backed by solid investors (see posts on blog about this). Of course, as there is no "store" for jolla which would enable an "official" way of supporting developers (as well as Jolla), the other options usually relied on by devs is bitcoin, paypal, etc.

I love native Sailfish apps. Though it seems that we can't live without android for a while. I think generally the Play Store is the most wanted store in the android world, but it seems to have serious technical problems with Sailfish devices. For that reason we should get more android apps to Jolla store. May be we should upvote more also android apps in Jolla store to encourage developers to start by transferring their android app to Jolla store and then later to make a native one!

In principle, Jolla as company could get incomes by selling more products. But after buying phones and licence for SFOS X excluding unlucky tablet gate, it is very hard to think what to buy at the moment. But our hopes are in Sailfish3 ; perhaps this UI should give us more chances to buy something what we really need. Thus, giving profit also for Jolla in addtion to pleasure of ours. But this all means, that there should be something new and especially special in Jolla Shop in the near future. I am very sorry with telling the truth.

More products?, difficult to do when you declare yourself "no longer in the hardware business" as stated by Jolla. This is why the shop is no more, with the exception of SailfishX, which of course, is software.

These kinds of threads are pretty hopeless and have already taken up space by previous posters. If Jolla wanted some help, I'm sure they'd be asking for it. People also need to remember that Jolla is not what it started out as. things have changed and we, the community, have very little say in the direction of which Jolla is steered, its investors are behind that steering, not us, we haven't been in the driving seat for a long time now, maybe even never at all.

@Edz: Focus on software rather than on hardware is in my opinion a good thing. Google is taking the big cash on Android devices, and hardware manufacturers like Samsung and the chinese ones are taking only the left overs. Being a niche OS and not a mainstream one is bringing also advantages. Yes, penetration rate is not great but maybe will come if people are becoming more aware of importance of privacy. Unfortunately you are right regarding the community,
