Dear guys at Jolla,

please consider adding the XA2 plus variant as an official supported device. I would love to see a device with a bigger screen but with only a little bigger dimensions. I don't need a dual selfie cam (I'm not handsome enough :) ) and the the 18:9 screen is interesiting to me. also the more RAM and the entire black front is an eye catcher. it's also the newest phone in the XA2 family so I expect a longer availability. I think only a few adaptations are required to make it run.

all in all I'm waiting for the new incarnation of Sailfish OS. I use it since the beta version of SFOS 1 and I love it. I only wish for more high end devices.

thanks for all the great work in the past 5 years

sail on

Edit. Just bought the XA2 plus (Media Markt Germany for 369€) with the hope of support. My Xperia X died today :( I will be on Vacation that's why I badly and immediate needed a replacement. The phone is great, and as mentioned in a comment it can be used with 2 SIM cards AND SD card. But Android is cruel

Edit: Good thing I've been brave enough :)

i'm not sure to want the XA2 plus ! Indeed, the J1 was designed to be used with only one hand.

as I've seen in the first hands on videos of SF3 the one hand usage is the major focus of Jolla. No matter how big the screen size is. and the size will be only 15 x 5 mm more compared with the XA2

@mips_tux I am pretty sure the Jolla Tablet was not designed with one hand use in mind. I like the Xperia X size just fine, but some people have bigger or smaller hands too.

Please faster, nicer, ...but not bigger please. It has to fit in the saddle bag of my racing bike. ;)

Yes please! Xperia X is too small for me. XA2 seems perfect size and looks nice. Then just a better working browser and it's all good. :)

Sailfish X community program update

Next week, on November 8 we introduce Sailfish X support for various Sony Xperia XA2 models. Sony Xperia XA2 devices are great hardware additions to the Sailfish X program, and I’m happy to share that we’ll start the support for all the product variants from the very beginning – including all single and dual SIM models. Below are all the variants you can choose from. See more product details on Sony’s products page.

Would be nice to have confirmation from the original poster if all works on his device & ideally also the type ID of his device (thanks in advance!). :)
