Hi!

After big update I tried to download or update applications but many of them can not be downloaded. What reason it could be maybe? Like example I tried to download an app from openrepos.net but I couldn't get it.

Kindest regards: Ari Järviö

Do a

devel-su pkcon refresh

in a terminal. After that it should work fine again.

Why doesn't the repository refresh automatically? Is SFOS using another package manager internally?

AFAIK Packagekit (pkcon = Packagekit Control) is used to both do the upgrade and as the package management API used by the Jolla Store app & the Open repos client (currently Storeman).

You can manually install also zypper but I don't think it is used by any of the default system stuff.

As for why the refresh is needed - that's indeed strange and has been hit by people at random basically for every release.

My random guess would be that repo data refresh is done after/during the system upgrade but can fail for some reason, such as Internet connectivity not being available at the moment.
