XA2, lock screen and infinite snooze loop [answered]
So, the only way to wake up my phone I could figure out so far is the power button, pressing which unfortunately sends the alarm to snooze.
- The alarm goes off early in the morning. To wake up the display and confirm the alarm, I press the power button.
- Pressing the power button with an alarm running, does not wake up the display, but sends the alarm into snooze.
- This either triggers the infinite snooze loop or makes me stay awake reliably, as I have to surf the web for the next 5 minutes to turn off the damned alarm for good.
Am I missing something?
And another thing: With a locked device I cannot toggle wifi or bluetooth without entering the code, but I gain full access to the device with no code prompt when I configure the lock screen pulley menu for quick access to apps. This can‘t be right, can it?
If I select an app from the lock screen pulley I have to enter the code before I get access to the app, if my phone is in the locked state.
For the alarm, my screen is awake, with the alarm showing and dismiss/snooze pulleys available, when the alarm goes off. Sometimes I accidentally select snooze, when I wanted dismiss, and my workaround to not have it go off again is to go to the clock app and disable and enable the alarm again. Then it won't sound anymore that morning, but be active for the next morning.
That your screen is off when an alarm sounds seems like a bug. I run 3.0.0.8 on an Xperia X.

Could it be that you have LPM enabled too?
ljo ( 2018-11-18 11:09:04 +0300 )edit@ljo: If that means „Lock screen Pulley Menu“, then yes. Disabled it, and what do you know? Alarm woke the display by itself and could be dismissed or snoozed by pulling. Thanks to you, we have our culprit: LPM! Thank you!

LPM = Low Power Mode
