Why would you want to? Snapchat is for stupid pre-teens.

I thought Snapchat fad died out already?

Unless something changed in almost two years, Snapchat wouldn't run on your phone if it suspects it's rooted. As a workaround, you could use an another Android device or emulator, login there and copy over app data to your SFOS device.

I even wrote a tutorial on how to set it up: https://together.jolla.com/question/158547/snapchat-login-temporarly-failed/?comment=173263#comment-173263

You'll need to download the Android application from some other place, like apkmirror, or use an app that can download applications from the Play Store, like Yalp (Available from F-Droid).

After that, you will need to log in to Snapchat. Snapchat makes use of Google's SafetyNet to check if your device hasn't been “modified”, which means at the point of writing that your phone isn't rooted and that you're using Google-approved firmware. Both of these checks fail on AlienDalvik and there is at the point of writing no way of bypassing these checks.

Snapchat doesn't use SafetyNet after logging in. So if you have a rooted device that's already logged in to Snapchat, I think you should be able to transfer the application data to your Sailfish Phone and somehow restore it over there. On Android, I've used Titanium backup for this, but I'm not sure if this works with AlienDalvik.

To log in to Snapchat on a rooted Android you can (or could, it's been over a year since I last did this) use tools like Magisk Hide to prevent tripping SafetyNet and then use a tool for backing up application data.

An alternative would be to use 3rd-party or patched clients, but I'm currently not aware of any and they might get your account banned, so proceed with caution!

hmmm.... seems this file indeed doesn't work.

Try this: https://snapchat.en.aptoide.com/?store_name=superuser4k&app_id=42713472

Be patient during installation and especially during first start of the app.... You might think that the app is crashing during start.. .but just wait a bit until the app opens. I just have tested it and it works ;).

Good Luck!
