Alphabetic device lock
I miss alphabetic device lock, i used it on the N9. Using alphabetic chars on the numeric keypad (alphanumeric) is not the same thing, typing "open sesame" is not the same as "67360737263". I find it a lot easier to use remember alphabetic chars (words) then numeric combinations.

abc123 ( 2014-11-08 12:52:09 +0200 )editWhile this has now been implemented, I'm not sure I'll use it (with the current bug though nobody should yet?). I very much prefer to unlock the phone with the larger, easy-to-hit numeric buttons.
My approach to long numeric combinations has always been to genuinely type a word on the keypad, in other words, L is 555, etc. This way a shorter word suffices, and it's extremely quick to input. I've got a some of my combinations so well stored in muscle memory that most of the time I don't remember the numeric form. Like: SAIL = 77772444555333
Additionally, typing on a keypad is something an old fart like me is very good at...
Aonsaithya ( 2014-12-19 09:42:45 +0200 )editIs it this feature that will be removed in the new update? They talk about alphanumeric but alphabetic was the new feature in the update.
