Hi All! Forewords: sorry, english is not my native language. My phone is Xperia X with SFOS 3.0.1.11

Congratulations! Very nice OS. I like it! Some comments:

Problem with write sms : in my country ( Hungary ), we use special chararacters ( á, é, ó, ö, ü, ű ). Nokia N9 used "reduced" character set, but Sailfish X don't have same option.

Problem with audio player : I'm over 50. My ears sensitivity are far from ideal. No option to set different volume level at L-R channel.

I tried open a video file from /Storage/userdata/(pull down -> File manager)/videos/DSCF1234.avi Error : "File type 'video/x-msvideo' is not supported". When I open this video from gallery, no problem with it.

No "Close" option in pull down menus to close unused apps. I was a Nokia employee ( prompt repar technician at Komárom factory ), and on my desktop was order aginst confusion.

If I open browser, needs to open wifi manager too. It is not happen automaticly. N9 knows this.

No way to install different search engines ( duckduckgo or qwant etc. ).

Thank you and have a nice day!

Each problem should be a separate post rather than lumping several questions together.

You can also close applications by going to the home screen (where you see all the covers of the running applications), long press on the screen, and then tap on the 'X' for every application you want to close. If you want to close all applications, long press on the screen, then pull down the menu at the top. Edit: oops, I see you found that already!

Keyboard layout: Settings --> Text input --> Active Keyboard: Magyar. There you have the Hungarian letters. Every activated keyboard can be quick selected by a long press on the space bar.

Close option for unused apps: press and hold on desktop app cover, then a little X should appear for every opened app.

Different search engines: There is a Openrepos patch from coderus for it: https://openrepos.net/content/coderus/search-engines-sailfish-browser

As far as I understood, NN9's problem with Hungarian is not the keyboard layout, but the character encoding when the text message is sent. Wrong encoding = much longer message.

Welcome to Sailfish.

The 'missing' close is because Sailfish does things in another way.

To close the active app swipe down from the upper left or right corner (it says the top center in the tutorial, but in the latest version that results in the system menu).

Or

From the thumbnails, long press and every app will be shown with an X, tab this to close the app. Tab somewhere else to remove the X'es.

I can only agree with you on the browser / network manager issue. A long time ago I asked for the system to automatically open the network manager, whenever a program requested access to the network, eventually with an option to allow or disallow apps to auto connect, but until now other issues has been prioritized higher.

Hi! Yes, right. The problem is the character encoding. One special letter uses more "space" from 160 char. long message.

To close app ( for example ) : If I finished using calculator, I like to close it. How? Need to send it to desktop, need to push desktop 'long' time and need to use from pull down menu - Close all. My idea is : in the calculator app pulldown and 'Close'. This is one step, not three. :D

To close the active app swipe down from the upper left or right corner. Egy aktív alkalmazás bezárásához, a jobb vagy bal felső sarokból húzzad lefelé.

You can install the music player QuasarMX from the Store, I think it has options to have different volumes in both ears.

You can add seachencines. Go to Openrpos and download Sailfish-browser-searchengines and install it. Then go to settings -> Apps -> browser and select the one you prefer.
