Hi,

Could we get a list of parameters for the WLAN driver (found in file /persist/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini) that we, as phone users, could safely edit & change without risking bricking or voiding the warranty of the phone?

OTOH, I see that partition is mounted as read-only, so we probably are not allowed to make any changes at all?
/dev/mmcblk0p25 on /persist type ext4 (ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,data=ordered)

Thanks!

I think that it's safe to say that changing anything there is a very problematic thing and in case something did break, the blame would rest with you. So there's no way to answer the question if you want it to be safe, without risking bricking or voiding warranty.

Thanks, Stskeeps!
However, I was hoping for a more nuanced answer rather than the black-white one above (black, in this case).
From my perspective, it should be safe and warranty non-voiding enabling / disabling things like WMM, 802.11d, 802.11r, CCX.
I'm not asking one should be able to change all the parameters in that file, but at least some of them should be allowed as being safe, in my view.
Thus me asking for the list of such "safe parameters".
Would you agree?
Thanks!
