Hi,

I have the latest update of Jolla Sailfish 1.0.3.8 and have set up the exchange sync as the instructions on togheter.jolla.com.

port 443 server adress as: m-hotmail.com and i have tried adress s.outlook.com as well.

I have deleted the exchange account and set it up again and some contacts will sync. I have now looked at my conatcts on a computer https://people.live.com/ and it seems that the contacts that has problem all have an "messenger" link to them selfs... Anyone seen this?

If the network goes down or the server times out due to large amount of contacts that can happen, try a manual sync inside email app, do you see any error there ?

Hi,

Inside the mail app there is no error. Should the contacts sync if i update the mails in the mail app?

Yes, it syncs calendar and contacts from there as well, if you update the exchange account ofc.

Hi, Ok I got the most of the contacts to sync when I did set the sync opition "always" on both "low time" and "high time", (around the clock) in exhange settings.

But still not all contacts is synced to my phone book (contacts).

So this is a major bug that need some proper testing...

Will try to reproduce, maybe something hotmail related, I've 8000+ contacts in a Exchange account and all of them are synced, takes a bit of time for the initial sync :)

The best way to sync with hotmail, now outlook.com is following this:

user: email address (xxxx@outlook.com) pass: server address: s.outlook.com server port: 443 Secure conection. Accept all SSL certificates.

Got answer, can not sync :(

sjpilis ( 2014-01-29 15:16:39 +0200 )edit

I configured the exchange account with my outlook.com email this way: 1) email address: your hotmail or outlook.com account. 2) user: your email outlook.com or hotmail.com 3) password ThenI click on manual settings: as a server address I have: s.outlook.com I have turned on secure connection and acept all SSL certificates. Server port: 443

works very good, as syncs calendar, contcats and email. The only issue is that after linking contacts with my facebook account.

Hi, This is my first post on resolving outlook.com connectivity issue. Here is the link on the subject: http://email.about.com/od/Outlook.com/f/What-Are-The-Outlook-Com-Exchange-ActiveSync-Settings.htm The solution that worked for me over MS Exchange was: server address: m.hotmail.com domain: (leave empty) user name: Your full Outlook.com email address (not an alias) password: Your Outlook.com password IN CASE YOU USE TWO STEP VERIFICATION: you should use application specific password. Server port: 443 Outlook.com Exchange ActiveSync TLS/SSL encryption required: yes

cheers... jozo

Improved in Sailfish 1.0.4.20, Ohijärvi, account re-creation is needed, if you still have issues please comment here.

Now it sets up automatically, without manual setup - just email address, login, passwd and domain (hotmail.com)

Had some issues at the start with the last update, probably network issues. But still no Jolla->Outlook sync for contacts, this is really a bad point...

@damourti - You mean contacts from device to the server ? If that is a separated issue, 2-way sync is coming in next updates.

When I add my dub114-m.hotmail.com I got "could not sync":(

I previously had only dub-m.hotmail.com and got some of my contacts to sync but not all?

sjpilis ( 2014-02-04 16:37:31 +0200 )edit

for my outlook.com account i use hotmail.com as domain and dub-m.hotmail.com server, SSL connection (actual address for oulook.com is https://dub115.mail.live.com/). Sync works...

@sjpilis - We have identified a problem with the contacts with deprecated fields/properties, looks like what you are describing, those fail to sync at the moment, will be fixed in the next updates.
