Are there any plans to add Linkedin to the accounts configuration of Sailfish?

EDIT: 06-03-2018

As answered by @Juho we are still waiting for the api for account integration that was so well arranged on the N900 and N9. I still hope SFOS will some day support this kind of integration (among a lot of others).

Agree, should behave the same way as a Fb account.

I'd love that. Ideally, the integration would also show notifications in the event screen.

This is not just nice to have, it's a must for me. I use LinkedIn much more than FB, all my business contacts are in LinkedIn with phone numbers and email addresses.

Yes, I support this, and a native SailfishOS LinkedIn client would make my day ;)

Anybody ready to develop LinkedIn integration into Sailfish OS? I can pay 50 Euros for that app/feature.

All my business contacts are on LinkedIn and it's very useful to have my contact pictures from LinkedIn, their latest phone numbers, their latest email address and their business status updates. Same as the good old N9 or any Windows Phones.

I couldn't care less about Facebook integration... as I have no time to waste publishing my life and peeking into others' life. I need a business phone with good business services integration.

If you are a business user and want LinkedIn integration into Sailfish OS, please vote for the "Adding Linkedin to accounts" question!

It's impossible due to linkedin's api is only available for business partners

According to https://together.jolla.com/question/1200/apps-to-integrate-into-accounts/ they are stabilizing the Account integration API. After there is the account integration API it would be feasible to create a LinkedIn integration. I think you should all vote for that question if you want the LinkedIn/Dropbox/Telegram/Instagram/.. accounts natively in Sailfish.

That's coming up to a year old now so so much depending on it to integrate.

Anyone up to start an indiegogo crowdfunding to develop this LinkedIn integration? I'll be the first one to contribute.

I'd be willing to implement a LinkedIn native client, but as mentiined: as long as the necessary API's are not available/complete, there is no way to get true integration into the OS

@call-a3 what APIs are missing to at least have the Jolla address book synchronized with the LinkedIn address book? True OS integration in accounts is definitely the best and natural solution though.

@chinauser I'm still looking into that. I only recently acquired a Jolla phone and started developing for it, so I still have to figure out which API's are there and which are not... If anyone could point me to some documentation that would be superb! ;) But in the mean time I am investigating this myself (as I would like to have this kind of integration as well, not only for LinkedIn)
