I use the native VPN client in combination with the vpnc package from Nokius to establish vpn with my Fritz.box (https://jollausers.de/blog/entry/80-tipps-tricks-fritzbox-vpn-unter-sailfishos-einrichten/ ). Everything works fine. But after reboot, the client forgets the IPsec Gruppenpasswort (shared secret), Xauth username and Xauth password. Does this happen without Nokius package, too? Is this an SFOS bug? I'm on Hossa 3.0.3.10

Update: I restored with version --dup the native jolla vpnc package and created a new vpnc profile. After reboot the credentials in advanced section are empty. So it is an SFOS issue

Unfortunately, I can not test if it happened the same way without Nokius package. But I as well as other users can confirm that the data is no longer available when the device is restarted.

In addition, there is a security hole in the VPN UI in my opinion. You can read out the VPNC credentials even after saving it. This should be resolved as soon as possible. You do not feel good when someone comes to the device and reads the VPN data and connects to its network. Please Jolla, fix the problem as soon as possible!

And takes over the vpnc package from Nokius. Because only that one can be connected to the AVM Fritz! Box.

Sorry about the tracking noise but this has been worked on already.

Great. And please hide the credentials from an existing profile so that not everybody who holds my device in his hand is able to read out my secret vpn information. Thanks a lot

What does 'has been working on' means?

Will we get a package with the small patch for Cisco/Fritz? So I do not need to download sources, patch the code, compile and distribute/copy the binaries (after each upgrade)?
THAT would be nice, indeed!

afair this not keeping credentials is a rather old bug. But as I use the command line way I cannot remember exactly.

The fix for the reported issue will be included in OS release 3.1.0 (available in July).
