When I use Viber or Messenger, even on mobile data network or wifi, I must after turning on in sailfish settings turn on the wifi also in aliendalvik control (settings) or click on mobile data in aliendalvik control (settings). Is this normal? I use Xperia XA2 plus dual, but this is the same on wife's xperia xa 2 dual. Sailfish Hossa.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it should have gotten around that Sailfish X and Android is still a big construction site. The same questions are always asked.
Something works for one and not for another. The forum already has many threads on this topic. Please wait for the next update. Hossa is not the big hit for the Android emulator. Let Jolla do something for Sailfish too. That's not perfect either.

No, that's Sailfish X Beta with Android 8.1 App Support for Xperia ™ XA2 range devices in free beta status. Everyone who has bought in jolla shop knows this and is not worth another post here. Beta users accept bugs and share them with the developer. Therefore, your answer is counterproductive and makes only bad mood. So please post experiences that users can support and make developers aware of specific malfunctions.

I can't confirm this issue on XA2 dual sim running Hossa. Connections work just fine even on Android apps
Sakke ( 2019-07-10 15:32:01 +0200 )editIt is a known issue that some (but not all) Android apps cannot connect over mobile data. So, yes, this can definitely be confirmed. But, good that you asked; many people really wait for some news about this subject. At the moment it is not clear if this can/will be fixed and how long this might take. The situation was slightly improved over the last couple of Sailfish updates, but it is definitely not fixed, yet.

pjr ( 2019-07-10 22:49:07 +0200 )editCan confirm this also with my XA2 Plus - Dual SIM. Wlan is connected and works with sailfish apps, but aliendalvik control shows "not connected" while wifi is in android settings enabled.
I think the problem arises when switching to another wlan network. Aliendalvik stays on the previously logged in network connection. I solved it manualy and it works.
