With Xperia XA2 I also have problems with storeman, it doesn't show own apps and can't update anything. Pkcon refresh doesn't change the situation with Storeman but pkcon update does update installed apps. With Xperia X everything works normally with same OS version.

I also noticed this problem. Storeman is a very good feature, but it is not a major problem to install the required apps through the File Browser. At least until Storeman is fixed.

Although this is Storeman issue and hence should not be discussed here, I suggest we update this question, so more people can find out about the issue and how it progresses.

it's a known problem with storeman with sailfishos 3.1. it's reported on storeman github and storeman developer is working for a solution.

The problem is solved! There is a Storeman update which fixes the Problems on OpenRepos.net (harbor-storeman-0.1.6-1.armv7hl.rpm). https://openrepos.net/content/osetr/storeman Thanks to the developer for the quick fix!

How can I do this pkcon refresh? Directly on the phone or do I need a connection from a computer? (Just installing the Storeman update did not solve the problem...)

Cryx ( 2019-08-02 12:38:50 +0200 )edit

@Cryx: Please have a look at the comments here. Before you can use the command, you have to activate the "Developer mode" in "Settings". Also enable the "Remote-connection" to set a password. After this you can use the installed Terminal (directly on the phone), which is installed by activating the developer-mode.

Thanx, worked!

Temporary solution for Storeman

$ devel-su
$ pkcon refresh && pkcon install zypper
$ zypper refresh

After that Storeman will be working again

ezameht ( 2019-07-27 00:15:07 +0200 )edit

It helps only partially; Storeman works mostly though

Does not work for me neither. I can add repository but can't install from that.

I had the same issue, but it seems, like it is working now. All I did was reinstall it and execute "zypper refresh". I think the latter fixed it, since it seemed to complain about somthing in a zypp directory.

@KuroNeko thanks for the hint, zypper refresh fixed it for me

@Smoove1, @sailaway I had to install zypper first. Do the following:

  • log into you phone via ssh
  • become root via devel-su
  • run zypper refresh
  • if you get: [root@xa2 nemo]# zypper refresh bash: zypper: command not found install zypper by pkcon update pkcon install zypper
  • try again with zypper refresh

command without needing to install zypper:

devel-su pkcon refresh.

but having zypper is convenient for future ventures into the terminal umiverse ;)
