Since the last update on my Jolla 1 phone, I am no more able to connect to my home WIFI. After trying to connect without any success, it just answer "couldn't connect please try again". I already tried to forget the network, and retry to connect by typing the password : same result. I also tried to put a wrong password : same, not even a "wrong password message" !

My WIFI is protected with WPA/WPA2 PSK. I only use the Jolla UI to connect or set informations.

I really need help.

I encountered exactly the same problem when upgrading to Sailfish OS 3.1 on my Jolla 1 !

At the time of the update I was not at home but in another house equipped with a" freebox " from Free (France). Last version.

Before the update I had no problem to connect to wif on this freebox. But once the update was done, I was unable to reconnect : - ( I also switch off/on the freebox without any result ! I reboot my Jolla 1 7 or 8 times without any result. I erase the freebox network and put it again : withouth any results !

Then I left this house to go to another house equipped with an orange livebox (France). I note that my Jolla 1 had already recognized the network of this livebox a few months earlier. And as a miracle, my Jolla 1 had no problem connecting to this new Wi-Fi network !!! There are 400 km between the two houses and I don't know when I'd go back to the first one.

Finally, when I will go back to my home, I hope my Jolla 1 will won't have a problem connecting. sted. I confirm : there is indeed a bug. And stay tuned : i'll go back to my home around 7 or 8 of august.

Well, it is quite interisting. I am also with a Freebox at home (France too). I will move to southern France in 2 days, so I will see if there is some changes, even if there is also a Freebox there. If not, I will try a factory reset. To continue.

I have had Wifi issues on Sailfish X for about 6 months - it just started randomly Sometimes works straight away other times not at all What works for me is to go into Utilities and reset network then home screen then clear backup and then package cache don't ask me why - it seems to work (sometimes inbetween the above 4 steps)

When i arrived yesterday in my house with our wifi connection, the first thing i do was to connect my jolla 1 : no problem. I don't understand this issue in the first house :-( I certainly will go back in this house in october or november to try again.

I just have tested the WIFI connection on one of the Jolla 1 phones and I don't have any issue with accessing web pages or downloading app updates via WIFI.

The 3.1.0.11 update was done via the update page in settings. So at least in my case I can confirm that WIFI is still working on Jolla 1 with 3.1.0.11.

Can you try to check WLAN with CSD tool?

I tried the CSD tool. The WLAN passed. But the test doesn't try to connect, only to fetch SSID.

Hi, this might not really be helpful for you... I upgraded via terminal and didn't encounter any problems, yet. It might be painful, but the simpliest way to solve your problem without any magical tricks would be a factory reset, I guess.

Sincerely

Roland

I have same problem -- my daily driver is Jolla C but for some time I have problem with responsivnes and decided to go back to Jolla 1. Since it was on Hossa, had to update it first to 3.1.0.11. Now it won't connect to home wifi :(

If it helps, here's dmesg output on pastebin: https://pastebin.com/NTHfiszG

EDIT: I tryed downgrade which didn't finish at all -- I had no idea that after Sailfish 3 this is not possible ... anymore -- learned hard way. Made factory reset, gone two times (2x!) through whole process (upgrade to 3.1.0.11 via GUI and via terminal).

Last working version is 3.0.0.8., after that with direct upgrade to 3.1.0.11, wifi stops working.

Not all networks are affected. I have problem at home (TL-WR1043ND v4 with dd-wrt), but no issue at work (some Mikrotik stuff).
