Global proxy settings and Sailfish OS Browser [duplicate]

It seems that the global proxy settings does not have any effect on Sailfish OS Browser traffic. Is this a bug or a feature?

SFOS 3.1.0.11, Xperia X

The only problem is neither of these threads is 'tracked by jolla' and the one you link to is from 2014 so will be ignored as old shit, while the issue persists into new age of 2019 and probably 2020, but sure, duplicate squad strikes again lol

Actually the 2014 one has an answer from the Jolla team, creating lots of threads with small amounts of votes helps no-one, updating old threads when a problem turns out to still exist is more useful.

That's actually even worse as answered in 2015 with updates from sfos 3.x saying it's broken again, so while 'answered' it seems even harder to track when you deal with comments from 4-5 years ago to deal with a relatively new regression that went on ignored for at least few releases. Maybe close the old thread so unrelated comments from 5 years ago don't clutter the new regression in functionality?

@szopin since this system counts "votes" you can choose to just make a new topic question every time and get a small number of votes and as a direct result of that no attention what-so-ever from Jolla or you can bundle forces with existing issues, personally it seems to me that the second option stands a much higher chance of getting things done.

Of course the other way of doing things is reporting it in community meetings which has so far always been way more effective then any TJC topic....
