android background processes always running

I noticed that com.android processes are running even if there are no apps in use. even after reboot these processes are there..

What do they do? send data to google server?

For now I uninstalled android layer, didn't use the apps anyway

edit: found this was deleted, undeleted it, because would like an answer.

There are Android apps that run in the background (e.g. Whatsapp) even if you close the app itself.

If you have installed the play store there is much activity on the Android layer which is exchanging data with Google. But that's quite normal if you install Google software ;). For other apps in the Android layer you must listen to the whole traffic via tcpdump and look what is sending things. I have also opened a request to shutdown Aliendalvik after last Android App closes. Google playstore is not only running in the background, it's also updating itself = downloading stuff = hitting your data plan.

I think this is a bug, since the option Settings->Applications->[Android App]->Allow background services to be performed at startup is not preventing that android application service to start at phone startup.

I also noticed the android services running after reboot. I use the app Alien Dalvik stop: (https://openrepos.net/content/schturman/alien-dalvik-stop ) te kill them every time after a reboot. When I start an Android app they start always. I think it isn't necessary to run these services while you're not using them. I don't like it when they use resources without doing any usefull things for me.

It would be nice to prevent them from starting after reboot and only let them start when an Android app starts.

Hi, i think com.android.processes is a part of aliendalvik service always running waiting for an android app to be used. Actually i don't think they are sending stuffs to google. If you want to check that try using netstat and do lookup for any established connection. By

netstate did'nt show any activity.. So maybe they run waiting for us to run an app.. But would like a reaction of a sailor
