In the Jolla browser there's no way to cancel the new tab dialogue. A swipe right doesn't work. The only way out if the dialogue is entered by mistake, or if the user changes their mind, is to enter a blank for the URL and close the tab.

If you want to go back to the web page you accidentally left: just choose that tab.
If you have no tabs open, and don't want to use the browser: just swipe down to close the browser.

If none of the above was what you meant, please explain further!

Open browser. Tap the number in a square in the control bar (the middle control between the star and the stop/reload). Pull and select New Tab. New Tab dialogue opens. Now change your mind: decide you don't want a new tab. How do you back out of here? There's no close control.

@jsiren - Ah, I see your point.
(To be honest, I haven't used the "Open new tap" pulley option, only the long-press-bookmark "Open in new tab", and long-press-link-on-webpage "Open link in new tab".
There's a lot of options (not only browser related) I either haven't yet discovered, or tried/needed ... :-) )

We are changing this behaviour so that back navigation will be enabled and navigating back will cancel creation of new tab.
