About upcoming support for Xperia 10 [answered]

As my current XA2 has taken physical damage and pealing apart, I'm planning to order Xperia 10. And, of course, Xperia 10 has multiple variants which makes me wonder which one I dare to order or are all of those variants getting official support?

If you want a good high quality phone get the Xperia X ;) unless you need the higher version of Android support about which we still don't know if we'll get it.

I would get the Plus for the better CPU, but it's really tall, like a remote control.

The fact that the 10Plus has a different SoC while the 10 has the same SoC as the XA2 means that it is less likely to be supported then the 10. (the amount of work needed for the 10Plus is considerably more then for the 10)

Jolla has already stated that the 10 Plus will be supported.

Source? As far as I can tell they only ever mentioned the 10 which is like saying they are supporting another version of the XA2 while the 10Plus is an entirely different phone and no official statement as to the exact models supported has been made as yet which is why this question was asked to begin with.

Can someone who flashed it please post some sample pictures? My wife is in need for an upgrade from original Jolla but relies heavily on the internal cam. Sony Xperia X camera is a total disaster, so I hope the X 10 is better in this regard? Actually, how does the Xperia XA compare to both of them?

Regarding Xperia X: not the camera is the disaster, but SFOS' focusing implementation, that's why images are blurried in less then bright daylight. I am expecting the same results for all other devices, too.

That being said, it may be useful to try alternative camera apps such as the incredible Advanced Camera.

Yes, I use Advanced Cam and like it a lot. But the problem remains for me. Surely, the cam in the phone is topnotch but with the focus as is mostly useless. It's a misery.

See this video by Leszek Lesner. The Xperia 10 cam appears to behave very well in SailfishOS.

Thanks, these images look good to me. Personally I hold out for the Pinephone but I bet the cam on the X10 is way superior and better suited for my wifes usage.

Correction to what I stated above: It's an Xperia 10 Plus. It has a better camera than the base Xperia 10.
