Sailfish Browser does not recognise text box input [duplicate]

Most definitely a duplicate as we all know this is an ongoing (ignored?) issue.

But you know it's got pretty bad when you can't select and input into the only text box on the DuckDuckGo page.

Workaround: Double tap the logo. Scroll back up. Tap on the text box. Search with the enter key.

So, you knowingly post a duplicate....why?, reposting the same thing will not make any difference, we all know the browser is crap, Jolla knows the browser is crap - but when will the browser be fixed Edz?, I have no idea, it's been broken from the beginning and through neglect, became even more broken, 5 years on, a few Jolla staff members have been assigned to 'maintain' the browser and from what I can see, we have more problems that we did before. Posting the same thing over and over serves no purpose, you've been here long enough to know this.

Yes, I've had this problem since the last two or three updates. I don't know whether it's the browser or the page. My workaround is to carefully scroll down the page a bit, just so that the menu and the Twitter icon at the top of the page disappears, then I can enter text in the box. If I don't succeed, I must restart the browser (reloading the duckduckgo-page doesn't help).

@Edz - it was expected that you would comment, as the majority of your comments over the years appear to be flagging people for duplicates, criticising opinions and suggestions ... and nothing else remotely constructive. Although, I'm glad you've been unable to resist because now you can waste more of your time doing the legwork and justifying your comment by finding the topics that this duplicates. Enjoy! :)

So, I went for a little jog on TJC's search field, seeing as you are clearly too lazy to do so yourself and i found this;

Dear Edz, do you really have to add your thoughts to every little thread? Whats your problem? Sitting in front of the computer your whole day? Then please, change your live, go to work, whatever, but stop this annoying blahblahblah

I think the behaviour correctly described by @dirksche was highlighted recently as one of the causes actually pushing sailors away from the community, in a time when they are greatly needed.

You've also misquoted me as using the word "blah", which illustrates a perception of ignorance, respect and disdain to the question raised; clearly something a moderator should never do.

I also do not undertstand your fascination with you having to be right and me having to be wrong. The question never alludes to there being a right or wrong. You are the only person who pursues such deluded quests at the cost of antagonising fellow sailors.
