Exchange sync stops working after a few days for bigger accounts, comes back after reboot

I'm a happy Jolla 1 SFOS 3.2 user, but Microsoft Exchange suppport is quite picky. Account sync will fail for my main Outlook account after a few days, manual update doesn't work either, but reboot just fixes it. Reducing "Synchronise old emails" to 1 day doesn't help. Also "always up to date" option never really worked for it. But I have a new Office365 account with only a few emails on it, and here the sync works non-stop, even with "always up to date" option.

Does anybody have any Idea how could I get to the root of my problem? Maybe using Systemd to see errors?

On a side note, this phone has recently been factory resetted, yet still the same problem persists.

It seems there is no easy solution of this common problem, because Exchange Activesync (EAS) has been unreliable in SFOS since day one.

But instead of rebooting the phone, it is sufficient to restart the EAS daemon which is even possible without root privileges: see here.
