Nonsense, see below comment of myself :D
'Allow any orientation' patch by coderus?
Even it says compatbility ends at version 2.1.0.11 it works fine (with some quirks in e.g. settings - ambience) in 3.2.0.12
Oops, sorry (reading caps...).
Horizontal COVERS ;) Nope, no idea :(

You will not find this function in any patch.
Landscape orientation is not fully supported in phones, only in the tablet because of its screen size, as a result, differences like landscape oriented covers are not present in phone releases.

rgrnetalk ( 2019-12-01 12:14:32 +0200 )edit@rgrnetalk - The OP is not asking for landscape support, rather horizontal covers instead of portrait covers when in landscape mode. Yes, I understand that all orientations are not supported on phones.
If we use the patch from coderus to support all orientations on a sailfish phone, when we turn to landscape, the covers are arranged in portrait orientation, not landscape as shown in the image, but this is clearly to do with screen real estate being much smaller on a phone compared to the JTab.
Spam Hunter ( 2019-12-01 13:58:15 +0200 )editthis is a tablet on screenshot, not smartphone :)
coderus ( 2019-12-01 23:36:02 +0200 )editThis is also arequirement for the gemini devices (PDA/Cosmo). But at the moment many apps did also not support landscape mode :-(.
