Dear Mair J, Good evening. If your fitbit charge 3 smartwatch needs android app, SFOS 3 does not let fitbit app to use bt connection. Same way eg., Galaxy wearabless app togethet with Galaxy watch does not work. Only Amazfit works with ported Amazfish app by Adam Piggz sofar plus also Pebble*) watches with Rockpool apps.

Thus only chance is to wait for Christmas miracles to happen. Either Sailfish 3 supports also Android useri nterfaces for these watches. Or the required watch apps are ported to Sailfish.

Letter starts: Dear Father Christmas. I would like to have ... ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

*) @pmelas Thank you for help. I meant this.

Others have pointed out that it is a complicated task, because Android uses a whole different Bluetooth subsystem than Sailfish (bluedroid vs bluez), and there is no translation layer --- see e.g. here https://together.jolla.com/question/171676/some-android-apps-are-incompatible-with-sailfishx-why/?answer=171754#post-id-171754 .

Also a wasp / bee flies allthough it should not be possible due to a relation of the area of the wings to the total mass. I.e., there are allways ways to act if any will exists.

@N9Sailfish Well, if you have the will and the necessary know-how (or know somebody you can ask): I know at some point Android x86 used a BlueZ stack, so they might have a starting point for android-apps-to-bluez-stack abstraction layer.

Dr Yak, right all. Also porting the apps like Amazfish by Piggz. And certainly something more in addition to. If there existec a lot of needs, thus there should be corresponding proposals, too.

Without any controlling app, or other methods, these attached smart devices to smart phone can not be used even with e-sims, too, if possible.

As far as I remember there was an unoffical native app for that called amazfish on openrepos. But I don't know, if it works for your particular watch.
