After updating to 3.2 my XA2 behaved in a strange way. first the volume bar was gone (reappeared without any actions from my side days later), volume was limited to a very limited scale (got better when the volume bar reappeared), sd-card content couldn't be accesed [gps wasn't operable from the beginning ... but that's a different story]

yesterday all went south and I'm now without a phone due to what happend next. after taking the sd card out, rebooting the phone an reinitializing the media tracker several times, the sd conten was back on track what was gone was the the android support, which worked fine up to that point. rebooting didn't do the trick trying to start an app (like threema or signal) gave me the message: android support needs to be started ... but it didn't! then I tried this: deinstalling and reinstalling android support - didn't change a thing. reboot. now my phone gives me an almost black screen, the apps screen can be accessed by pulling up from the bottom and the icons are as bright as before, but if I try to open one it ends either asking me to add an account, if it's android app it sends to the jolla store to the android support app or it sends me to the settings where everything is blacked out. apps are in disorder, folders for apps are gone, the apps from the folders are spread across the grid.

to summ it up: my phone is useless to me, I'm deeply frustrated and I have no clue how to get it back as my daily driver.

help anyone? I appreciate advice.

Thx, carhelan

I'm not impressed with SFOS either, also having an XA2. But I am nowhere near the trouble you're in. Just an obvious question: Did you try to reboot?

First thing to try in these cases is a factory reset. If that does not work, reflash. If it does not work again, sorry but you have a hardware issue.

I managed to blindly navigate throug settings [allthough I couldn't see the buttons they still were operable] and started a factory reset. lot's of data lost, but regained my phone. I hope for the best, that this will be a singular episode.
