Hi, I just took out my J1 from a drawer where It has been for a long time, and going to use it for some time for fun. Which version would you recommend in terms of stability and battery life? Is the latest one 3.2.1.20 smooth and without problems on this device?

The latest version is always the best version, but don't expect to run the latest Android applications on it. Many can no longer even be installed because they require Android 5.0 (and the Android support on the Jolla 1 only goes up to 4.1 or so), and others are simply too heavy to be used with the 1GB of RAM the device can provide. The browser, likewise, is basically unusable, because it's extremely outdated and people appear to be incapable of creating websites that don't slurp up all of your CPU and RAM anymore. However, other than that, if you only use Sailfish applications, it works perfectly. The device controls extremely smoothly, and in my experience it only stutters if you use the browser (which you shouldn't) or are doing some heavy file operations.

Edit: forgot to add that the camera is also a bit slow when saving pictures, but I'm pretty sure this has always been the case, and I think this, too, has more to do with the hardware than the software.

Hi. I'm using my Jolla 1 daily since I bought it in November 2014, currently with latest SFOS version. Battery drain occurs from time to time (idk why - it's not related with OS update), but in general battery life corresponds with it's age. Regarding usability and stability - I started to notice lags some time ago, but it's still usable without bigger obstacles. However, I have to say that I miss some features removed and I don't like all features added in recent updates. Hope you'll have fun with your J1.
